Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on August 19, 1965 is an American actor. She is best known for her leading role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was teacher and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover meals.
