Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was born on the 10th of March, 1949. She is an American investor, speaker and consultant. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, it was sold to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran left the company shortly thereafter. One of the show's first "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in all 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank until now. She has been involved in 53 deals since February, 2020. The largest was a $350,000 investment to provide 40% of Coverplay. Corcoran was second in a family of 10 kids, and was raised in Edgewater.  Her mother, Florence, was a household worker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. moved from job to job during Corcoran's early years. Her family frequently depended on food delivery services for free from a local grocery store. Corcoran says that her father was a drunk who treated her mother with disrespectful and disrespect. Corcoran was a struggle in school and was diagnosed with dyslexia. Corcoran was a student at a local Catholic elementary school and started the high school system in St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. Corcoran who was in the process of failing several courses in her first year of high school, was moved to Leonia High School. There she received a grade of D.
